Christchurch voted best resort in UK!

In a national survey of 117 seaside towns, the Halifax looked at all manner of indicators including housing prices, employment rates, burglary figures, weather, local environment, health and education. Christchurch came out top, beating number two Leigh-on-Sea by an amazing 98 points and was voted the number one seaside resort in the UK for the quality of life it offers its lucky residents and visitors.


Historic Christchurch Guided Tours & Trails

A programme of guided tours and walks ranging from countryside walks on Stanpit Marsh and St Catherine's Hill to historic building talks at Highcliffe Castle and Christchurch Castle and boat trips to Hengistbury Head and the Isle of Wight will be available soon. Christchurch Food & Wine Festival 2008

Celebrity chef Brian TurnerThe ninth Food and Wine Festival will be taking place from 9 -18 May 2008 with the much-acclaimed International Food Market on the opening weekend (10 and 11 May). Celebrity chefs Lesley Waters, Brian Turner and Nick Nairns will be demonstrating in the Rangemaster Cookery Theatre during the Food Market and the Kids Kitchen cookery school will be returning to Druitt Hall. Festival programmes will be available soon from the Christchurch Information Centre.
