Adventure Wonderland
Type: Theme Park
2011 Winner of Dorset's Best Family Attraction- Awarded by Primary Times (as voted by parents of 4-11 year olds)
It’s no wonder that it’s a full day’s fun at Dorset’s number 1 family theme park, with even more to do and see than ever before! Now there are over 30 family rides and attractions at Adventure Wonderland, opposite Bournemouth Airport, including the ever popular Animal Cuddle Corner and new shows in the weather beating Happydrome Theatre.
Family favourites include The Ghostly Galleon, Wild Bills Runaway Train, Turbo Teacups , Flying Elephants and lots, lots more! New attraction this year The Pollydrop Ride - a not to be 'missed' experience! Height restrictions applies to certain rides.
This is all contained within a wonderful parkland setting with many features including a magnificent beech hedge maze that has over 1 ½ miles of pathways and is the largest natural maze on the South Coast.
And that’s just outside. In the indoor Aztec adventure play centre, Wild Thing, there’s lots to do for mini trail blazers including Python Drop, Rollerball Alley and the spectacular Montyzoomer’s Ball Firing Thunderdome! So whatever the weather there’s a guaranteed value-for-money treat in store. There’s also the chance you might meet one of the many friendly park characters such as Alice, The Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit or Cortez the Lion.
All this for an all-inclusive entry price, with discounted family tickets and senior citizens prices.
It’s also one of the regions most popular children’s party venues with 3 party rooms and a range of fantastic hot or cold party food.
As it’s a full days fun there are also a number of places to eat on the park with The Alice Café, The café of Muchooeatyou, both offering a range of value for money food, including healthy options and a mezzanine TV lounge including a licensed bar.
Originally the theme park was known as The Alice in Wonderland Park. Over the years it has grown and grown and is now one of the most popular family days out destinations in the area with enough entertainment to keep everyone satisfied.
Adventure Wonderland, including Wild Thing, open 26 March – 11 September. Then every weekend up to 16 October and half term week (22 Oct – 30 Oct). Wild Thing is open all year round and is an inclusive part of Adventure Wonderland during the summer season.
