A NEW open-air aviation museum with classic aircraft and interesting cockpits in a natural setting either side of its own mini “runway”, right next to Adventure Wonderland, Bournemouth Airport
With pre and post World War trainers, two jet fighters, the prototype of a small, sleek executive jet, RAF rescue helicopter, a selection of cockpits from two passenger aircraft, a jet bomber, a supersonic fighter and the magnificent Vulcan there's something for everyone - you can even sit in the cockpits and ”twiddle the knobs”, wherever safety considerations allow.
Exhibition rooms, shop, snack refreshments, picnic tables for bring-your-own picnics and a double-decker bus which provides a superb panoramic view of aircraft activity at the airport from the upper deck.
