Excitement is brewing over at Highcliffe Castle as preparations for the Autumn Wedding Fair are well under way.

Taking place this Sunday, 21 October, from 11am to 4pm, the now popular bi-annual event is a chance for all brides-to-be to take a look at the range of services and businesses associated with their big day, all in one place.

Wedding fairs began at Highcliffe Castle in 1999 before the Castle even had a wedding licence and have become an event of key importance to the local wedding calendar. Generating a great deal of business, exhibitors receive an excellent response and all look forward to coming back year after year to inspire the numerous wedding couples who attend.

Displaying mainly local businesses from florists to hotels, chocolate fountains to casino tables, photographers, string quartets and classic cars to name but a few. The Grade 1 Listed Castle showcases everything a couple could possibly need to plan a wedding day of their dreams.

With admission at just £1, the Gift Shop and Tea Rooms also open offering a range of gifts, wedding memorabilia and a selection of beverages and snacks. With free parking currently available, couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding day all within the beautiful Castle grounds.

Jo Peters, Highcliffe Castle Weddings and Functions Officer, said: “With the popularity of the venue growing year on year bookings for both ceremonies and receptions are certainly promising with firm bookings for 2012 and enquiries for 2013! We have now celebrated over 1100 ceremonies at the Castle and with our Function Suite now firmly established, Highcliffe Castle really does provide the perfect setting for your big day”.
