Visit the 'Motte and Bailey' Castle which was later armed for the Civil War. Stand in the hall of the Constables House where several Kings of England have stayed. Find out how Mrs Perkins overcame her fear of being buried alive and hear the colourful past of the magnificent Priory Church which has also been both a monastery and a school. Admire the large Victorian workhouse and the tiny mill on the quay.
